A self contained cinema traveling around the South of Scotland and beyond screening cutting edge, non-mainstream films to rural and urban communities, schools, youth groups and festivals.

An 8 seater cinema in a converted 1980's Swift Pirouette caravan, completely stripped out, re- panelled, waterproofed and lovingly turned into a unique red and black cinema space to watch films. With a full HD screen and projector, stereo sound and chairs with comfy velvet cushions it is now a space to immerse yourself in films that inspire and spark discussion. Moving Images is completely self sustained running on solar power. The project was made possible by invaluable support from Alchemy Film & Arts as part of The Teviot, The Flag & The Rich, Rich Soil programme and supporters of a Creative Scotland Crowdmatch crowdfunder campaign . Significant donators included: Connecting Threads, Borders Book festival, Eribe , Cornucopia, EcoArt and Birkhill House. Our aim is to screen experimental and Artist Moving image and films with themes of climate and social justice, global and local voices and to collaborate with our partners to curate unique film programmes.
